At the end of July 2019, Guaranty Trust Bank sponsored their 9th Annual Autism Conference in Lagos, Nigeria. The focus was on empowering people with autism. As part of this event, Pyramid supported two of the contributing groups, The Color of Autism Foundation (a Michigan-based non-profit) and ABE Clinics (headquartered in California with a satellite clinic in Lagos, Nigeria), in preparing PECS information and materials. Attendees came from all over Africa to attend the conference and consisted of healthcare professionals, caregivers, teachers and founders of specialized schools for children with ASD as well as parents of children on the spectrum.

Pyramid donated various materials including PECS Training Manuals, Large PECS Communication Books, Communication Book Straps, PECS 151 Picture Sets, Pics for PECS CDs, and other supportive materials to help over 30 families get started with PECS!
